The frontman for '80s metal pioneers Twisted Sister has confirmed he will undergo emergency throat surgery Wednesday after his voice gave out following a January 20th concert in Los Angeles and doctors found a polyp that had lodged near his vocal chords. The growth is not cancerous and Snider is expected to nix all TV, radio and TS gigs for the next two months so he can heal.

climbed the charts hitting number 13 two weeks ago and the six spot
