Ralph Fiennes Split
February 8, 2006
It's not such a Fiennes day for Ralph.
Ralph Fiennes and his girlfriend of nearly 11 years, British actress Francesca Annis, announced their separation Tuesday, just two days after reports surfaced that "The Constant Gardener" was not a constant companion and has carried on a two-year affair with a Romanian singer.
"Ms. Annis confirms today that she and Ralph Fiennes are to separate," Annis' London-based law firm, Schillings, said in a statement.
According to Britain's Mail on Sunday tabloid, Fiennes, 43, admitted to having an ongoing fling with Romanian singer Cornelia Crisan, 31, after meeting at a party nearly two years ago.

Britney Spears is up to her shoulder restraint in controversy.
A photo of the pop star behind the wheel of a black SUV with infant son Sean Preston in her lap has caught the eye of Los Angeles child welfare officials.
L.A. County Sheriff's deputies questioned Spears Tuesday about the incident, which occurred Monday in Malibu, at the behest of the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services.
Authorities now say that Spears, who blamed "horrible" paparazzi for forcing her to drive off with her son unrestrained, will not be charged.

Grandpa Al Goes Home
February 8, 2006
Even among Munsters, Al Lewis was, in a word, different. For instance, he once observed, "I can consort with, and meet with, Hell's Angels."
Lewis, forever known for playing Grandpa on the ghoulish 1960s sitcom, "The Munsters," died Friday at his New York home.
He was 82. Probably.
Up until his death, Lewis biographies listed his birth year as 1910. But Lewis' son Ted fessed up to the Associated Press last weekend that his father was actually born in 1923, making him one year younger than "Munsters" TV daughter Yvonne De Carlo, who was born in 1922.

Financial details were not disclosed, but the deal was said to be "amicable."
Jo An Corrales filed suit last April in Los Angeles Superior Court last April, alleging Brando touched her inappropriately, exposed his genitals to her, forced her to watch porno films, and related dirty tales from his Hollywood past.
