Case Less Simple for Paris

A Sept. 18 trial was set Thursday in Los Angeles in the $10 million slander case brought against Hilton by diamond heiress Zeta Graff.
Graff has accused Hilton of feeding "vicious lies" about her to the press, specifically to an item in the New York Post last July claiming Graff went "berserk" from jealousy at a London dance club and tried to rip a diamond necklace from Hilton's neck.

Carol Burnett has signed on to make a guest appearance on "Desperate Housewives" as Eleanor Mason, the icy stepmother of Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross).

For Jack Wild, the 1970s and 1980s were about lots of drinking and less work. Still, the former teen idol once said, he was grateful for the journey--"because I have learnt a hell of a lot."
Wild, the Oscar-nominated bundle of energy who burned bright, if briefly, in the late 1960s in "Oliver!"
and the classic kids' show "H.R. Pufnstuf," died Wednesday of mouth cancer. He was 53.
Chappelle Not Psyched
March 2, 2006If Comedy Central goes through with plans to air material from the unfinished third season of "Chappelle's Show," Dave Chappelle, for one, won't be laughing.
The network said in December that it would make room in its spring schedule for the approximately four episodes Chappelle completed before his impromptu "spiritual retreat" forced the show to shut down production. But Chappelle claims that he won't return to his show if the episodes air.
