Dayanara Torres, the beauty queen ex-wife of salsa singer Marc Anthony, endured a rough landing after her latest flight from Los Angeles to New York.
The former Miss Universe was rushed to a hospital March 1 upon landing at JFK International Airport. On Friday, she underwent three-hour surgery to remove scar tissue blocking her intestine, "Us Weekly" reported. She experienced severe abdominal pain on the plane, according to witnesses, but told the pilot, who was ready to make an emergency landing in Chicago, she could make it to New York.
A friend of Torres told "Us" she was in stable condition and would be ready to go home in about five days.

Renfro Goes to Jail

Brad Renfro keeps driving into trouble.
The 23-year-old actor was sentenced to 10 days in Los Angeles County Jail after pleading no contest Wednesday to a drunken driving charge, the city attorney's office confirmed.
Renfro was arrested on Nov. 23 with a blood-alcohol level of 0.09, just over the state legal limit of 0.08.
After Renfro enetered his plea, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Carter doled out another five years of probation, a $450 fine and the jail time, and ordered Renfro to spend 18 months in a counseling program. Another charge of driving with a suspended license was dropped, per a deal with prosecutors.
