Farrell Sex Tape Update

Colin Farrell has so far managed to do what Paris and Pamela couldn't.

A Los Angeles judge has rejected Farrell's ex-girlfriend's request to clear the way to release the former couple's steamy, three-year-old stex tape.

Nicole Narain, Playboy's Miss January of 2002, had asked Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elihu Berle to throw out Farrell's lawsuit barring her from distributing the videotaped hookup.

On Monday, Berle denied Narain's motion, ruling that there was sufficient evidence for the trial to go forward.

Maureen Stapleton Dies

On screen, Maureen Stapleton was a character actress. But at the 1982 Academy Awards, she was the undisputed star of the night with the heartfelt blurting out: "I want to thank...everybody I ever met in my entire life."

Stapleton, the Oscar-, Emmy- and Tony-winning stalwart whose career spanned more than 50 years, died Monday of chronic pulmonary disease. She was 80.

Connery Has Surgery

Facing off against a dastardly specter of a different kind, the original 007 went under the knife to remove a kidney tumor several weeks ago in New York and is recuperating at his home in the Bahamas, the actor's rep has confirmed.

"He's very fit—he's 100 percent plus," Connery's spokesman, James Barron, said.
