Hef Sorry, Alba Okay
April 4, 2006
"Playboy" has decided to make nice with Jessica Alba. In turn, she's calling off the legal dogs.
The "Fantastic Four" star has retracted her threat to sue the magazine for printing an unauthorized publicity shot of her on its March cover, Brad Cafarelli, Alba's publicist, confirmed Tuesday. Her change of heart occurred after the man himself--Hugh Hefner--offered up his sincerest apologies.
Hefner, the legendary editor in chief of "Playboy," wrote a personal letter of apology to Alba and made donations to two of the actress's favorite charities, Keep a Child Alive and the Until There's a Cure Foundation.
McTiernan Charged
April 4, 2006
Federal authorities seem to have no intention of letting Hollywood's former detective to the stars go down alone.
"Die Hard" director John McTierrnan became the 14th person--and the most well-known Tinseltown figure--to be charged with a crime in relation to the federal racketeering and conspiracy case against private investigator Anthony Pellicano.
The Hollywood veteran who also helmed "The Hunt for Red October" and "Predator" was charged with one count of lying to FBI investigators, according to federal court documents.
