Sonny Crockett lived on a boat. Apparently Don Johnson doesn't want to.

The former pastel-loving "Miami Vice" cop managed to scrape together $14.5 million to settle a delinquent debt and rescue his Aspen, Colorado, ranch from foreclosure, according to published reports.

DE Shaw Laminar Lending Inc., a New York-based lending company, had given the actor until Wednesday to come up with the payment or else the company planned to auction off his beloved 17-acre Woody Creek estate to recoup its dues.

The $12 million spectacle that is the new musical "Lestat," based on Rice's cult classic novel series "The Vampire Chronicles" and featuring music by John and his longtime songwriting pal Bernie Taupin, opened on Broadway Tuesday night with a bloody splat.
