Busch race is bonus practice for Cup drivers
March 11, 2006The first three Busch races of the season have been won by Cup regulars. If he were still a crew chief, Larry McReynolds says he would tell his Cup driver to run today's Busch race after Cup Happy Hour at 5 p.m. ET on FX.
Biffle and Stewart ready for rerun
March 11, 2006Nobody should be surprised if Greg Biffle and Tony Stewart turn Sunday's UAW-DaimlerChrylser 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway into a rerun of the race two weeks ago at California Speedway. The NASCAR Nextel Cup stars who finished second and first, respectively, in last season's standings were the class of the field at California, only to wind up in the back of the pack after late-race engine failures. That left Biffle 38th and Stewart 22nd in points after the first two races of 2006.

Biffle wins pole for Las Vegas race
March 11, 2006Greg Biffle won the pole Friday for the UAW-Daimler-Chrysler 400 with a speed of 172.403 mph around Las Vegas Motor Speedway's 1.5-mile tri-oval. It was just the second pole of Biffle's career and first in two years. "I've qualified second I don't know how many times. Qualifying isn't my strong suit," he said. The only other pole of his career came at the first Daytona race in 2004. He qualified second two weeks ago at California. Tony Stewart qualified second at 172.
