Busch wins in his Busch Series debut

Add a Busch Series victory to Kurt Busch's already impressive championship resume. Already with a season title and 15 victories in NASCAR's Nextel Cup series, Busch stepped down and drove in his first Busch Series race Saturday. He led the final 70 laps - including an extra six after a flurry of late cautions at Texas Motor Speedway. Cup regulars have won all seven Busch races and led all but 55 laps this season. Dale Earnhardt Jr. appears relaxed and confident these days after top-five finishes in two of his last three races. Earnhardt comes into Sunday's Nextel Cup race sixth in the season points. Kasey Kahne spent most of last year frustrated, trying to figure out why things weren't going as well as they did during his rookie season. So, after a good start this season, how did Kahne feel after starting fifth and finishing 35th last week? Not as bad as expected. "I wasn't even mad," Kahne said. Kahne completed only 374 laps because of engine problems at Martinsville, the Nextel Cup's shortest track.

Stewart wins IROC race, Kinser flips again

Tony Stewart climbed the fence, grabbed the checkered flag and then had to walk to Victory Lane after the second round of the International Race of Champions. When Stewart crossed the finish line Friday night and spun out the tires to celebrate winning his third career IROC race - and his first victory of any kind at Texas Motor Speedway - something broke on the car.
