Juventus' lead has been cut to three points in Serie A. The club's fifth straight league tie -- 1-1 against 10-man Lazio on Saturday -- left the Turin club with 82 points. AC Milan, which won 3-1 at Messina, is closing in quickly with 79. Third-place Inter Milan, with 74 points, won 4-0 at home against Reggina.

Zapata shot and killed in Colombia

Former Colombia soccer international Martin Zapata was shot four times and killed following an argument in a poor neighborhood in Cali early Saturday, the police said. Four suspects were arrested, but a fifth who supposedly fired the shots was still at large.

France striker David Trezeguet scored his 21st goal of the season in the 86th minute to level the scores after a first-half goal by Lazio forward Tommaso Rocchi. With three rounds left, Juventus has 82 points. AC Milan, which at one time trailed the Turin club by 14 points, moved up to 79 after a 3-1 win at Messina.

Hearts held on to second place in Scotland despite a 2-1 loss Saturday at Edinburgh rival Hibernian. Hibernian snatched the victory in the 78th minute on Abdessalam Benjelloun's goal after Roman Bednar had equalized for Hearts in first-half injury time. Derek Riordan had opened the scoring for Hibs in the 16th. Celtic, which was set to play Rangers on Sunday, has already won the Premier League and has 89 points. Hearts have 67 followed by Rangers (60), and Hibs and Kilmarnock (both 59).
