The network announced Friday it was giving the early go-ahead to two new series--"Vanished," a cleverly named missing persons drama, and the Brad Garrett sitcom "Til Death," about a longtime married couple whose next door neighbors are newlyweds.

"In the case of both shows, given the quality of them, the decision was inevitable," Craig Erwich, executive VP at Fox Broadcasting, told Variety. "Sometimes when you know, you know. They fit into the brand and the strategy of what we’re trying to do here."

The "Lost" star was released from a Hawaiian jail early Friday morning after serving just 65 hours of her five-day DUI sentence. Unfortunately, Rodriguez's legal woes are far from over: She's due back in court Wednesday, this time in Los Angeles, for a probation revocation hearing to see whether her drunken-driving arrest violated probation she's been serving since 2004.
