Taking yet another step along the road to offering 24/7 multiplatform entertainment, CBS announced Thursday the launch of Innertube, a free broadband channel that will offer short-form comedy, drama, talk and reality programming, as well as clips of CBS shows like "Survivor," "The Amazing Race" and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
The network plans in coming months to stream full-length episodes of its primetime series on the channel, as well.

NBC confirmed Thursday that Matthew Perry will be returning to primetime television this fall, picking up the hour-long drama "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" for its 2006-07 schedule.
The series, created by "The West Wing" alums Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme, will focus on the backstage antics of the talent and production team who work on a late-night sketch comedy show, a la "Saturday Night Live."
